Blackpool Community Action Network (Blackpool CAN) continues to strengthen and support the borough’s voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector by providing organisations with the skills, knowledge and practical assistance needed to thrive. Building on the success of its work across Blackpool, the network has now received significant backing from The National Lottery Community Fund, which is funding the next three years of its development. This investment will enable Blackpool CAN to expand the training, mentoring and practical support it offers, helping community organisations with funding and contract applications, governance, financial management and the day-to-day running of their services. Delivered through a partnership between Community First, Citizens Advice Blackpool and Social Enterprise Solutions CIC, Blackpool CAN is helping to create a stronger, more resilient voluntary sector, ensuring local organisations are better equipped to support the people and communities they serve.
